Up Urban Prospective Factory is pleased to present Disappear, solo exhibition of Luca Eliani curated by Marta Di Meglio. The opening will take place at the exhibition gallery in via dei Salumi 53 in Trastevere, on Saturday 23 September from 18.30.

👉With Disappear, Luca Eliani, through his works, leads the viewer to sharpen his gaze and dwell on the uniqueness of the creatures that populate the animal and plant kingdoms, most of the time considered by man to be certain and unchangeable.

Observation, in this process, becomes fundamental in order to grasp the links with what surrounds us and to understand and notice the hidden details from the fleeting glances of everyday life. Nature, in the eyes of the artist, is thus revealed to be the bearer of beauty and harmony, but also extremely fragile.

The artist emphasises and brings to attention the unbreakable link between nature to be preserved and human survival, turning the artistic gesture into a true act of defence.

Disappear

If the Perseverance rover discovered some kind of Martian ant tomorrow while exploring Mars, we would immediately want to know everything about that living being. The reason for its shape, colours, habits, resistance, anatomy. There would be plenty of talk about it in the media, newspapers, magazines, comics, and many of us, even if we didn't want to, would develop a kind of feeling of admiration for that little creature. Admiration leads to attributing value, importance to something that it will then be difficult not to try to defend in some way.
