🎙️ 𝐏𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 ::: 𝟗𝟖 è una piattaforma sperimentale che ha l'obiettivo di accogliere musicisti e performer della scena locale romana e contaminarla con influenze di artisti provenienti dal resto del mondo. La commistione tra pubblico e artisti è al centro dell'esperienza performativa.

La missione di Pomegranate ::: 98 è di creare ambienti inclusivi e caotici che diano la possibilità a forme artistiche del panorama underground di esprimere le proprie sonorità.

Mauro Polito aka Pour Atom Oil is a sound engineer, producer and composer, based in London.

in 2007 while living in Rome he founded the experimental band In a Sleeping Mood together with a fellow musician and under this pseudonym they made 3 studio albums (“Nebula” 2010, “Draft” 2012, “Never Finished, Only Abandoned” 2020), 2 art installations (“Resonant Cityscapes”, “Vitruvian Intonation”), 2 live audio/video performances (“Sound of Failure”, “Foetus”).

Between 2013 and 2014 they embarked on the first online audio/video installation called “Diluted Sounds” consisting of 365 tracks (one per day) that included a Visual counterpart often designed in collaboration with external artists.

In 2020 he started his solo career under the pseudonym of Pour Atom Oil, a combination of IDM, Future garage, Downtempo with a pinch of Experimental glitch music. He published an Ep in 2021 called “Dark Flowers”.

He worked on short and feature films as well as on commercial ads, independent video games and fashion movies. In 2019 he started to collaborate as an Affiliate freelance Composer for Thermal music and Sound Designer for the Futz Butler in London.

In 2021 together with his partner Donato Panaccio he was awarded Best Sound Design at the 8th edition of the Torino Underground Cinefest.with the feature film “White Angel” directed by Vincenzo Basso.

Francesco Corvi is a sound and multimedia artist, creative coder, performer and lecturer.

His work explores unconventional performance strategies working with custom digital technologies including live coding frameworks, autonomous software behaviors, spatial audio engines and multimedia environments.

He graduated with honors from the Licinio Refice Conservatory and the Institute of Sonology, where he conducted an artistic research on computer music in relation to the concepts of embodiment, liveness and virtuosity.

His project “Nesso” explores the realm of experimental and deconstructed club music drawing influences from live coding, computer music and new media art.

He has performed in numerous clubs across Europe and has released music on several independent labels, maintaining a strong connection with the underground music scene, the open source community and the academic environment.
